World of Warcraft aka WOW is probably the biggest and most successful Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing games (MMORPG) out there . The game is set in a fantasy world called Azeroth and the players can choose to play with twelve classes from two factions (Alliance and Horde).
World of Warcraft has over 12 million subscribers and many of them have been playing the game since 2004. It is common for wow players to get very attached to their Avatars and Factions. When you are playing the game for hours every day and raiding in a group you become part of a community. The die-hard fans even get the the symbols of their factions, image of their avatars or popular World of Warcraft characters tattooed on them.
