I decided to simply put up a few pictures of some GREAT tattoos to get inspired by.When you browse the internet and see all kinds of ugly/tacky tattoos you sometimes tend to forget how beautiful tattoos can really be..
I think these tattoos are STUNNING! What do you think?

Personally, these are the kinds of photos that make me motivated to find something extraordinary beautiful for my next tattoo

Mark!
Loved the Back Tattoo. I love Dragons. The traditional Kenpo Serpenitine Dragon and chinese tiger doesnt quite do it for me though. I want a specific Dragon which we found but cant find the right tiger. Im looking for a Bengal Tiger. My tatoo guy keeps drawing the wrong face. He has been working on a Dragon and Tiger drawing for over a year and drawn it so many times he wants to scream. I wont let him put it on me until its perfect. He wants me to be his advertisement because I have a busy practice and he thinks it would bring him clients. The dragon is Celtic but the tiger is chinese. It is very different than any I have seen. Dragon has tiger by the tail but is clawing dragon. Dragon is superior. Tat goes on the shoulder and blade. Got any ideas?

Bruce Richardson:
That sounds like a tricky one! Have you looked around for pictures/photos of Bengal tigers online? I guess you somehow need to find a way to communicate to him exactly what it is that you want, either using a photo or a drawing that you or someone else have drawn. Sorry I can’t be of more help
Good luck though!

Great tats - any chance of artists names and shops to go with pics? Its good to know who to look for not just what to look for, you can have a great tattoo with great design but crap colour or bad shading. The artist makes the Tat what it shoud be. THE TATS ARE REALLY STUNNING.THE COLORS ARE BEAUTIFUL.I AM A LATE BLOOMER WHEN IT COMES TO TATS,GOT MY FIRST AT AGE 56 AND THE SECOND AT AGE 57.THE FIRST WAS A STORE TYPE AND IS NICE,BUT NOT REALLY GREAT,BUT DOES HOLD SIGNIFICANT MEANING,THE SECOND,ALSO WITH SPECIAL MEANING IS LOVELY,MY OWN DESING,WITH GREAT COLOR.BOTH ARE SIMPLE.I WANT TWO MORE TO COMPLETE MY FAMILY NAMES AND SYMBOLS.FOR MY DAD’S IT’S SIMPLE A TEDDY BEAR AND HIS NAME CHUB. ALTHOUGH THE COLOR MAY BE A MINOR PROBLEM,IT MUST BE AUBURN,NOT PLAIN BROWN.BUT FOR MY MOM THE DESIGN WILL BE A LITTLE MORE COMPLICATED,HER NAME IS BEA AND OF COURSE I WANT A TAT OF A BEE,BUT NOT JUST ANY COMMERCIAL THING WILL DO.I WANT A REALISTIC LOOKING TAT,WITH NATURAL COLORS.I’M OPEN FOR ANY SUGGESTIONS,PLEASE ADVISE ME WHERE TO LOOK FOR DESIGNS.THANKS,STAY SAFE AND BLESSED…DONNA

I’m completely in love with the dragon - it’s one the most amazing intriquite forms of art i’ve ever seen**!! Tattoos shouldn’t be a “cool thing” to get done they should be pieces of art that have a meaning behind them - i mean yeah it’s cool in the end but there still should be a reason or atleast somewhat of a passion.
Wanna see more pictures!! of amazing tattoos just like them.

I designed a tattoo but when I took it to an artist they did not want to put it on my upper ankle as I had wanted because it would loose some of it’s detail, but they said it would look great on my lower back. Which I can understand, but I am too chicken to have it on my back. How do you go about deciding what details to leave out?
[Reply]
191 | Sarah
@Christine Kiefer
Dont leave any details out. go ahead and get it some where that looks best. and belive me your tattoo artist has seen tons of folks who needed a little help figuring out exactly what they wanted. I can tell you from personal experience that the ankle hurt just as much as my lower back. I did get a huge tatto on my lower back so by the end of it i thought it was more painful but really i was just getting stiff sitting there for 5 hours.

Thanks for all the great advice and for actually listening to the people you reach by giving us what we want. These are gorgeous works of art. I am looking to get a black tattoo but the bright beautiful colors in these photos are really making me think about color. Keep’em coming!

Very Nice.
I’ve been tattooing for a few years on and off. Is there a company that will take used needles to recycle? I don’t like to reuse needles, clean or sterilized.

What would you suggest would it be wise to tattoo over a scar? Does the ink take in the skin there or not? I have a good size scare on my left upper arm from having a tumor removed. One on my neck from a car accident having a trac, but I’ll live with that. My husband suggest that I get a scorpion on my neck.(HELL NO)

Hiya Mark!
Great that you have got the blog up and running! LOVE the pics - my next tattoo is gonna have white in it. Didn’t realise it’s an unusual colour for tat til I spoke to Russ @ Bizarre Inc. in Edinburgh! Guess I’m getting trendier the nearer to 40 I get!!
Keep up the good work mate!!

Hey Mark,
You’re right, those were some cool tats! Here’s the deal. I served 20 years in the Navy and never got a tattoo. Sailed around the world, came close many times but never did. I’m ready to get one now but I haven’t seen anything I would want to wear on my body for the remainder of my life. Here are some of the images/symbols I want included into my once in a lifetime tattoo.
1. Anchor
2. Nautical Star
3. Swallows
4. U.S. Navy and dates served
Can you help me? If not, I might as well unsubscribe and look elsewhere. Please let me know. I am a patient man, but as far as a tattoo goes, it’s now or never. Thanks man! I believe if anyone can help me, you can!

That first one has left me speechless. I’m a huge AC/DC fan and I have decided that the only tattoos that I’m gonna get will have something to do with AC/DC. I have the angus/devil on my shoulder and AC/DC my ankle with barbed wire. My next one will be the Hells Bell on my leg. If anyone has any suggestions, I’d love to hear from you.

Mark,
Those tattoos were amazing, love them all, I’m thinking of putting a butterfly on my ankle with ribbons flowing from it, I don’t have a tattoo, this would be my first, that is why I went on your website in the first place, just to get ideals, but I dont have the money to koin your network, I wish I did.
You make beautiful tattoos!
Thanks

Thanks for the great pictures. Its so refreshing to see a real artistic impression that isnt simply copied and colored in. My husband has a tattoo of a dragon on left shoulder blade and is looking for a decent Merlin for his right shoulder blade. Can you help as there arent that many good ones out there with staff and crystal ball.

Love the tattoo designs Mark….especially the dragon…really nice!
Would love to see more FREE tattoo designs,as I am thinking of getting my first tattoo soon, but don’t have the money to sign up to a bunch of sites:(
Im getting my first tattoo done on the 20th…..a heart with wings, and the name and date of birth, and date of death,of my best friend Alex, who passed away 3 years ago.
If you or anyone else has an idea for my 2nd tattoo,I welcome all suggestions……I want something representing courage, strength, determination, etc…as I am in a wheelchair and have had a lot of ups and downs in my life, and, especially the last 4 yrs have been hard on me…the loss of my best friend, landing in ICU 6-7 times(and being near death),and really messy break up with someone after 3 yrs being together.

Mark, I think your art if phoenomenal!!The stencil you gave me of the eagle holding the shield,is the exact wings i’ve been looking for. Minus the shield, tailfeathers, and the eagles head of course. The wings are already 3-d,and could be tattooed on my back as is.I will be joining soon.Just as soon as I get some balance paid down on the credit card. Thanks, David
